Delete Your Account
You can ask us to delete your TianJi account and everything held with it. You do not need to be signed in to ask, and you do not have to give a reason.
Two ways to ask
By email
Write to us from the email address on the account, so we can tell it is you. One line is enough: that you want your TianJi account deleted.
In the app
- Tap your photo, at the top right of any screen, to open Profile & Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Read what will go, then press and hold Hold to Delete for two seconds.
This takes effect immediately. There is no waiting period and no confirmation email.
If you signed in with Google, LINE or TikTok, deleting your TianJi account does not delete that account with them. It only ends TianJi's access to it.
What deletion removes
Everything. When the account goes, so does all of this, from the live service straight away:
- Your name, your email address and your profile photo, and your sign-in account itself.
- Your birth details and every chart worked out from them.
- Every conversation with the Master, turn by turn, the written record of any live session, and the short memories the Master kept about you. Live session audio was never stored at all.
- Every photo you gave us, including any face or palm photo, and the readings made from them.
- Your connections, the charts you added for other people, and the Master's readings about them.
- Your dating profile, with its likes and passes, and your matches.
- Your remaining minutes and your jade grade. Minutes are not refunded.
- Your settings, and the usage rows our own analytics kept.
- Other people's connections to you.
Our host keeps rolling backups, which cannot be edited in place. Your data ages out of them within 90 days: daily backups are held for 6 days, weekly for 27, monthly for 89.
What stays, and why
Four things are not removed. Each one exists to protect someone else or to meet the law, and none of them lets anyone find you again.
| What | Why, and for how long |
|---|---|
| A conversation another person was part of | Their copy of it stays with them, because it is their conversation too. Your account becomes an anonymous marker: no name, no email address, no photo, and signing in to it is impossible. They see "Someone". |
| Blocks other people made against you | So a chat someone blocked stays hidden for them. Kept indefinitely. |
| Reports and safety records | So a report still means something after an account goes. Kept indefinitely. |
| Purchase records | Singapore tax and company law requires them. Kept for 5 years. |
Anonymous copies of conversations, used to improve the Master, carry no name, no birth details, no photos and no identifier of any kind, so deleting your account cannot reach them and they cannot be traced back to you. You can switch that off at any time while you still have an account, in Profile & Settings. This is described in section 12 of the Privacy Policy.
How long it takes
Deleting the account yourself, in the app, happens immediately.
When you ask by email, we act as quickly as we can and always within the time your local law requires, which is usually inside 30 days. We will write back to the same address to tell you it is done. If we cannot match the address to an account, we will say so rather than guess.
In both cases, backup copies age out within 90 days, as above.
If you want less than deletion
Deleting is final and cannot be undone. Some things you may actually want are smaller, and all of them live in Profile & Settings:
- Turn off Discover, so you are not seen by people you have not added.
- Stop the Master learning from new conversations, and have the memories it holds about you deleted.
- Correct your birth details, which are editable at any time.
- Ask for a copy of your data, or object to a particular use of it, by writing to admin1@tianjiaistudio.com.
